Draining and removing the water from the
vessel and it's good right? Wrong, there is
still 5 to 15 gallons of water still trapped
in the pipe works and mechanical components
like pumps, heaters, misters, air channels and
jet works plumbing.
The owner's manual that came with the unit is either not specific enough and/or does not cover proper procedures period. Technicians are called out to jobs daily and a lot of the problems we see are self inflicted due to improper draining. Water that is not removed properly will become corrosive to heaters, pump components, o-rings, gaskets, and the pipes themselves no matter for how long it's empty or what time of year it is shut down. Water that is not removed properly for the winter months will result in freeze damage and crack all the components listed above. Having the unit properly drained is vital to its longevity. Call on a knowledgeable professional that understands how these systems work and where the water resides for closing the unit. Keep it in top condition. Spa Tec opens and closes spas of all types all year long. Contact us to have it done right. |
